Amanda P. Tackenberg has practiced marital and family law exclusively since 2013, when she joined Foster-Morales Sockel-Stone. She is actively involved in the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and serves on the Executive Council (Term: 2020 – 2024). Ms. Tackenberg has served as the Co-Chair of the Membership Committee, the Vice-Chair of the Publications Committee where she oversaw publication of the quarterly publication, The Commentator, and as a member of the Legislation, Finance, and Children’s Issues Committees.

Ms. Tackenberg’s interest and involvement in family law began before she became an attorney. As a law student, she represented juvenile clients in dependency and delinquency courts as a Certified Legal Intern before the Eighth Judicial Circuit. She also interned with the Guardian ad Litem program and Three Rivers Legal Services in Gainesville.

Ms. Tackenberg graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and received the law school’s Family Law Certificate. Ms. Tackenberg was the recipient of the Terrye C. Proctor Memorial Scholarship at UF. She was awarded Book Awards in the Juvenile Civil Clinic and the seminar Genetics and the Law. During law school, Ms. Tackenberg was a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Research and Writing, Appellate Advocacy, and Trial Practice classes. She was a member of the Jessup International Moot Court and President of the Law Association of Women.

Ms. Tackenberg is a member of The Family Law Inns of Court, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the Dade County Bar Association and the Cuban American Bar Association.

Prior to law school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia where she double-majored in English Literature and Spanish Language and Literature and received the T. Braxton Woody Fellowship for distinguished scholarship.

Ms. Tackenberg enjoys volunteering and providing pro-bono legal services through Dade Legal Aid’s Put Something Back Project. She has previously served as a Building Bridges Ambassador for the Children’s Home Society.
